During his second visit to the country on Monday, Foreign Minister S Jaishankar presented Virat Kohli’s signed stick to Australian Deputy Prime Minister Richard Marles. They met at Marles’ office in Canberra, the capital city of Australia.
Marles is also Australia’s defense minister. She took to her social media accounts to thank Jaishankar for the gift.
“It’s a pleasure to welcome @DrSJaishankar here in Canberra. There are many things that bind us, including our love of cricket. He surprised me today with a signed bat from cricket legend @iamkohli.”
Jaishankar also took to Twitter to share a few photos of the same meeting:Nice to meet DPM and Australian Defense Minister @RichardMarlesMP. Views were exchanged on regional and global security. Our growing defense and security cooperation ensures a peaceful, prosperous and rules-based Indo-Pacific.”
