“If MS Dhoni had given me a chance, I would have done well for the country” – Former CSK cricketer after announcing his retirement

There are several stories a cricket fan often hears. MS Dhoni He made the youngsters good players and later got a chance to represent the Men in Blue. while captaining Chennai Super KingsDhoni was able to search for talents and after their amazing performances in the Indian Premier League, these youngsters got the opportunity to wear Indian hats like Ravichandran Ashwin, Mohit Sharma, Murali Vijay, S Badrinath.

But not every player could get these golden opportunities for sure. One of the former CSK players is Ishwar Pandey, who performed well for CSK but failed to play for India. The 33-year-old has not announced his retirement (Monday 14 September) and believes his career will be different if Dhoni gives him a chance.

“If Dhoni had given it a chance, it would have been different career-wise. Then I was 23-24 years old and my fitness was also very good. If Dhoni bhai had given me a chance and I had done good things for my country, my career would definitely have been different.” Pandey quoted by Dainik Jagran.

Although he was selected for the New Zealand tour in 2014, Pandey thinks his career would look different if Dhoni had given him more games to play.

Ishwar Pandey was part of the Madhya Pradesh team that won the Ranji Cup this year.

Ishwar Pandey had taken 18 wickets out of 25 games in his IPL career. But his first-class numbers are quite impressive, as he floated 263 goals in 75 games.

Pandey was last seen in a First Class cricket match against Kerala in March this year. Madhya Pradesh’s fast bowler CSK and Ascending Pune Supergiants at IPL. He was also part of the MP squad to win the Ranji Trophy for the first time.

He wrote a lengthy post on Instagram to announce his retirement from cricket. Check the post below:
