Following a complaint received by the Advertising Standards Council of India, the IPL promotion of former India and CSK captain MS Dhoni posing as a bus conductor has been red-carded and will be withdrawn (ASCI). After a Road Safety Organization filed a complaint alleging violation of traffic rules, the relevant authority requested the change/withdrawal of the IPL promotion.

MS Dhoni plays a bus driver in the aforementioned commercial, where he stops the bus in the middle of the road. In the video, a police officer asks the reason for the sudden stop, and MS Dhoni says she and the passengers watched a ‘Super Over’ match.

The video was created as a promotional event for the ongoing IPL 2022 presented by MS Dhoni.
The police officer accepts this as an ordinary event and passes by the bus. After a thorough investigation, ASCI decided that the video should be modified or withdrawn by the interested party in the IPL, who agreed in writing to remove the video by 20 April, as reported by The Times of India.
In terms of the tournament, 14 games have already been played in the league stage and the top four teams are currently Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals, Gujarat Titans and Punjab Kings. KKR remains in the lead with six points after one defeat and three wins in four games.
The other three teams have all tied by four points and only the Gujarat Titans have been unbeaten in the tournament so far. IPL hot favorites Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings have yet to open their accounts as they have been beaten in all three matches played so far. The last league game will be played on 22 May, followed by the playoffs.
