Wankhede Stadium shakes Andre Russell Mayhem as the Kolkata Knight Riders beat the Punjab Kings by six wickets to claim their second IPL 2022 victory. KKR chased 138 in 15, while West Indies shooter Andre Russell was the best of the dead. Apart from that, Umesh Yadav shined in the game by taking four wickets.
Early in the game, KKR won the toss and chose to go bowling at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium. Losing PBKS captain Mayank Agarwal in the first half, Umesh Yadav continued to stir up trouble with the new ball. Bhanuka Rajapaksa came in at number three and fireworks went off all over the park. Southpaw dribbled just nine balls, but managed to score 31 points in three fours and sixes.
He started alongside Rajapaksa, including many other Punjab hitters. Shikhar Dhawan, Liam Livingstone and Raj Bawa. With KKR bowlers hitting at regular intervals, none of them could hit a significant one. Umesh was razor sharp with the ball in hand and gave his best IPL 4/23 digits. Tim Southee also got a few wickets in addition to it.

Wankhede was the rollercoaster of a match.
Meanwhile, Kagiso Rabada’s handy 25-run cameo helped Punjab reach 137 before his innings lost his last stronghold in the penultimate episode. In response, KKR got off to a shaky start and Ajinkya Rahane was sacked in the first round. Opening partner Venkatesh Iyer also struggled.
KKR captain Shreyas Iyer then teamed up with Sam Billings to get his team past the 50 running mark. However, their consecutive dismissals got KKR in trouble at 51/4. However, the Andre Russell show kicked off and the ball was flying all over the place.
He kicked the ball for fun and knocked PBKS out of the competition. Andre Russell hit eight sixes in his 70 undefeated in 31 deliveries, with the Knight Riders winning the game by just 14.3 extra six wickets.
