Oculus is running away: No one wants to test it, even for free

While 2016 has left its mark on the smartphone universe with the negativities brought by the Galaxy Note 7 and its auto-ignition batteries, we must not forget that the whole year will be a big event for high tech. .

We’re clearly talking about the succession of high-end virtual reality headsets like Oculus, HTC Vive, and PlayStation VR. Considered one of the best experiences, Facebook’s acquisition of Oculus seemed to have great potential…

Oculus isn’t even interested in the free demo

And yet. While virtual reality was only shown physically, Facebook had set up 500 show stations across America. At the start of the year, the company is referring to “seasonal changes” to remove 200 of these positions.

But the reality on the ground seems quite different, as Best Buy employees told Business Insider that no one is interested in these positions and that those days could pass without anyone’s hand.

As virtual reality headsets hit the market, observers worried that their high prices would prevent them from attracting the attention of ordinary consumers and therefore be reserved for a very small group of users.

In the end, it’s not perhaps their price that should be questioned… but it’s the interest of the helmets themselves. However, with the arrival of DayDream on Android, for example, mobile virtual reality platforms may have a hand, as it is much easier to understand and understand despite much lower performance.
