Objects linked to the increasing miniaturization of components as well as the advent of 5G have become an interesting contingency for manufacturers in the high-tech universe. In this space, Google created Android Wear, an operating system derived from Android and dedicated to connected watches, a few years ago.

What was noticed yesterday was the absence of any Android Wear products in a very diverse Google lineup. Worse still: Today the Play Store has erased even the slightest trace of the last connected watches it sold up to that time in all language variants.
Does this mean Android Wear is dead? Far from there. While the Android 8.0 Oreo version of the system was released recently, new products are still expected. But that decision may also indicate that Google is focusing on its own products today as it tries to gently put this project in the attic. After all, if he wanted to push Android Wear even further… he could make his own watch.
