WhatsApp is gearing up for the arrival of a new feature that will delight those forgetful users who tend to reach the wrong recipient and even save your life when you regret sending a message. The email client will allow you to delete sent messages from your recipient’s phone, as Skype already does.
For now, this new feature was only seen in the latest beta 2.17.1.869, which was distributed on iOS, but there is no doubt that it will come to Android as well. The principle is simple. Accidentally texting or regretting that you texted in anger? Just delete it and it will automatically disappear from your recipient’s phone whether it has been read or not.
Note, however, that as with Skype, he will be prompted to delete the message. As this is often not dramatic, the content of the message will be deleted before it has time to read it.
This option, called “Cancel”, will also apply to group messages. We can already guess that this will please even the most clumsy and inconsiderate, provided they have the reflex to delete the accused messages before they can be read. His work is explained in a short video at the end of the article.

It is not yet clear when this feature will come to Android. In mid-November, WhatsApp finally welcomed video calls. A feature that was first mentioned in December 2015 and therefore took almost a year to arrive in the messaging client. Last month, WhatsApp also boosted its app’s security with two-step authentication.
