WhatsApp now flags forwarded messages directly in chat
WhatsApp wants you, thanks to this new notification that will appear directly in the app’s chat. “Help you find out if your friends or contacts wrote the message they sent you or if it was originally sent by someone else”. However, to circumvent this restriction, it will be sufficient for the user to copy and paste the message instead of forwarding it.
But with this additional information the application hopes you stop sharing anything to your contactssuch as fake news or spam. According to our colleagues at Poynter, the notification will not be reserved for text messages: Transferred videos, images, gifs and voice notes will also be flagged in the conversation.
“You must have the latest supported version of WhatsApp on your phone to see this new symbol indicating the message has been delivered” alerts the application. For now, the feature is indeed rolling out. Download the latest version of WhatsApp from Play Store to enjoy it as soon as possible.
