Google is constantly adding new features to Maps, sometimes through app updates and sometimes through server-side push updates. This time we are more in the latter case with the addition of a very practical innovation: when an address is detected on the clipboard, Google Maps now presents it as soon as it is opened, without the need to copy it.
How to take advantage of this feature in Google Maps?
This new feature is rolling out now and works with the latest versions of Google Maps for Android. A similar feature was also made available in Google Chrome with web addresses a few days ago. Of course, the interest is the same every time: removing a daunting step so that the user achieves their goals faster. It seems that this is the only novelty of this server update, Believe XDA Developersfirst to notice the change.
According to a few feedbacks, the functionality appears to be in version 10.14 of Google Maps for now. So even if it’s a server-side update, you’ll probably need to update your app to take advantage of it. Nothing could be simpler: we offer you a link to the Google Play Store or, if you want, you can directly download the APK of the latest version via the APK Mirror platform:
