Samsung continues to deliver more value to Galaxy users with pre-installed apps like Samsung Internet, My Files, Calendar, Messages and more. These apps are feature rich and blend in perfectly with the rest of the interface. The Samsung Internet browser is an example and is also available for other Android phones from the Google Play Store.
However, the app works best on Samsung devices. If you are planning to switch from a Samsung branded phone to another Android phone, you should look for a Samsung Internet browser alternative from the Play Store.
1. Google Chrome
Google Chrome comes pre-installed by default on every Android phone. By far the most popular browser with billions of users. Just sign in with your Google account; You can synchronize your passwords, bookmarks, logins and other data.

2. Microsoft Edge
Microsoft is one of the best browsers to use between Android and Windows. If you’re using Windows, look no further and go with Microsoft Edge as a Samsung Internet browser alternative on Android.
Microsoft recently released an update to send web pages from Android to Windows and vice versa. We use it all the time as it makes the transition from desktop to mobile devices seamless. We also appreciate Microsoft’s use of the bottom menu bar with the most used options like tabs, sharing and more.
Microsoft Edge is based on the Chromium web engine, meaning it works perfectly with most websites out there (something we can’t say about Firefox).
Other features include extensions, News plugin and shopping feature that helps you find the best coupons to save some money.
Microsoft Edge is free to download and is available on Windows, Mac, iOS, Android, and even Linux.
3. Firefox
Firefox was a mess on Android. Users hated slow performance and scrolling lag when browsing web pages. Mozilla finally got serious about it and announced Fenix’s project to build Firefox from scratch.
The result is as good as it gets for Mozilla. The new Firefox is a worthy competitor for the Samsung Internet browser. The company has completely redesigned the browser and placed all the necessary options at the bottom.
Firefox uses its custom web rendering engine to load web pages. We had no problems loading graphic-heavy web pages. Firefox also lets you add extensions to enhance browser functionality.
The feature list includes Advanced tracking protection, Firefox Monitor, Firefox Lockwise integration, Pocket (Read later) add-on and more. It’s good to see that Firefox has completely removed the junk news tab from the browser.
4. Brave
Brave browser has made a name for itself by focusing on privacy and security. The company offers basic information such as trackers and ad blockers, recorded data and estimated savings time on the homepage.
Standard options like Home, Bookmark, Search, tab switcher and more are at the bottom. The search bar may appear at the top, but is accessible from the lower search menu. The homepage offers a nice looking wallpaper.
Brave is a Chromium based browser and you can get good scrolling and page loading performance. It’s right there with the Samsung Internet browser.
Brave has added Brave Rewards to the browser. Brave allows you to earn BAT (Basic Attention Token) tokens by displaying Brave ads. You will see the live value of these coins in the menu above. Brave also lets you reward creators using earned rewards. Unfortunately, it misses the Reading mode.
5. Vivaldi
Vivaldi has been on the market for the past few years and has made a name for itself from the very beginning with its rapid development and cross-platform availability.
The browser offers other features like ad blocking, tab style, theme and sync option from the default main menu. Every aspect can be customized here. You can change the tab style, tab viewing experience, change the default search engine, and more. There is no irrelevant news integration either.
Vivaldi added Vivaldi Game option in case you get bored of surfing the web. The browser is available on Windows, Mac, Android and iPhone.
Better Mobile Browsing Options
While Samsung Internet is an excellent browser, it is not natively available on the desktop. This may leave power users looking for alternatives.
