Transferring contacts from iPhone to Android is no longer a difficult task. Contacts can be easily moved from iPhone to Android by creating a VCF (Variant Call Format) file. This is possible with the help of iCloud web version on PC. Since you don’t have a computer handy, in this post we will tell you other ways to transfer contacts from an iPhone to Android without a PC.
The iPhone’s problem is that it doesn’t allow you to create VCF files for all your phone contacts. You can create a VCF card for individual contacts, but not for all. It is tedious to transfer all these contacts one by one. Therefore, you will need third-party applications to create a VCF file on the iPhone itself. But there is another simple method to help you transfer contacts from iPhone to Android.
Let’s check first, then the second method, where we list three apps to help you transfer contacts from iPhone to Android.
1. Use Google Drive to Transfer Contacts from iPhone to Android
Google Drive iOS app has the unique ability to backup your iPhone’s data to your Google account. You can back up photos, calendar and contacts. When you enable the backup feature of Google Drive, your Apple contacts are saved in your Google account. Just add the same Google account to your Android phone and enable the sync feature. The contacts will automatically appear on your Android phone. You can also view them at contact.google.com.
Note: Google Drive takes a backup of Apple contacts and merges them with Google Contacts.
Here are the detailed steps:
Stage 1: Install the Google Drive app on your iPhone.
Step 2: Launch the Google Drive app and open the left sidebar. Tap on Settings.

Stage 3: Tap on Backup.

Step 4: Tap Contacts. On the next screen, enable the toggle next to Backup to Google Contacts.

Step 5: Go back and tap Calendar events and Photos & videos. Disable toggles inside these settings. Tap on Start Backup. Wait for the backup to complete.

Step 6: On your Android phone, go to Settings > Accounts. Tap on Add account and add the same Google account that you created a backup of your contacts with.
Step 7: Typically, contacts sync automatically and appear on your Android phone. Otherwise, tap your Google account under Settings > Accounts on your Android phone. Tap on Sync account.

Step 8: Activate the toggle next to People. This much. Open the Contacts app and after a while you will see your Apple contacts.

Note: This is a one-time process to transfer contacts from iPhone to Android. The above method will not sync your Apple contacts to Android. For this, you will need to add a Google account under iPhone Settings > Contacts > Accounts. Then enable Contacts under Gmail account.
2. Use Third-Party Apps to Move Contacts from iPhone to Android
If the above method doesn’t work or you face any problem, you should use one of the three apps below to transfer contacts.
1. My Contacts Backup
This app creates a VCF file of contacts stored on your phone and allows you to email this file to yourself. Then download the file to your Android phone and transfer it to your contacts.
Here are the steps to move contacts from iPhone to Android using My Contacts Backup app:
Stage 1: Install My Contact Backup from the App Store on your iPhone.
Step 2: Open the app and you will be asked to give permission to your contacts. Tap OK.

Stage 3: Tap the Backup button on the screen that opens.

Step 4: Tap on Email and enter the address where you want to email the file. That is, enter the email you use on your Android phone and send the email. The VCF file will be automatically attached to the email.

Step 5: Open your email on your Android phone and tap the download button to download it to your phone. The file will be saved on your phone.

Transfer Contacts from VCF File to Android Phone
Open the Contacts app on your Android phone. The steps may differ depending on the different Contacts app. Let’s take the Google Contacts app as an example. In the Google Contacts app, tap the three-bar icon at the top. Select settings.

Scroll down and tap Import. Select the VCF file. You will be prompted to open the VCF file from where you want to import the contacts. Go to the file you downloaded. iPhone contacts will be imported to your Android phone.

Pro Tip: For Samsung phones, open the Contacts app and tap the icon with three bars. Select Manage Contacts and then Import or Export Contacts. Select Import and select the VCF file sent from iPhone.
2. Contacts Backup Sharing and Export
Unlike the above app, this app lets you choose how you want to send the VCF file to your Android phone. You can email, upload to Google Drive, Dropbox, send via chat apps or use file sharing apps. Then the steps to transfer to Android phone are the same as above.
Follow these steps to transfer contacts from iPhone to Android without using a computer.
Stage 1: Download the app from the App Store.
Step 2: Open the app and allow the app to access your contacts when prompted.
Stage 3: A list of your contacts will be shown. You can manually select the contacts to export or tap the select all checkbox at the top.

Step 4: Tap the Export button at the bottom and select Share Locally.

Step 5: Next, you will be asked how you want to send the file. The choice is now yours. You can email the file or use any instant messaging app that supports file sharing, such as WhatsApp. You can even save the VCF file to your iPhone in the Files app so you can send it to your Android phone later.
Step 6: Download the imported VCF file to your Android phone and repeat the steps mentioned in Import contacts from VCF file above. So open the Contacts app. Find the Import option and select the VCF file you sent from your iPhone.
3. SA Contacts Lite
Although this app uses the same principle i.e. export VCF file from iOS and export to Android, it offers an interesting way to do it. It allows you to transfer files over your local Wi-Fi network, as well as using applications such as email and cloud services to transfer the VCF file. So if your Android and iPhone are connected to the same Wi-Fi network, simply enter the address given on your iPhone on your Android phone. You will be able to download the file to your Android phone.
Here are the steps:
Stage 1: Download the SA Contacts Lite app to your iPhone.
Step 2: Open the app and select VCF under Feature Style. Tap Start.

Stage 3: On the Export Contacts screen, choose how you want to send the file to an Android phone. Use the Wi-Fi option to view the web address that must be opened on an Android phone to download the file.

Step 4: Open the browser on your Android phone and type the address as shown in the iPhone screenshot in step 3. Then tap the VCF file to download it. After downloading you need to transfer the file to your contacts. For this, follow the steps mentioned above under Export VCF file to Android.

Share Individual Contacts
The above apps are useful when you want to transfer contacts in bulk. If you only want to send a few contacts, you can share them via an email or any messaging app. For that, open the contact and tap on the Share button. Then choose how you want to transfer to Android or the tool.
