On August 26, 2020, the Polish publisher CD Projekt Red, to whom we already owe The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt or The Witcher Battle Arena, announced the arrival of a new smartphone video game dedicated to the universe by Geralt of Rivia.
Based on the success of the Netflix series, the company Witcher Monster HunterA game that uses augmented reality to make scary creatures appear in your garden, living room or in the middle of the street. In this respect, the game is compatible with Niantic’s phenomenon game Pokémon Go, Harry Potter Wizards Unite or The Walking Dead: Our World.

“Long before Geralt of Rivia was born, The Witcher: Monster Slayer is an augmented reality exploration game that challenges you to become an elite monster hunter. See the world around you transform into a dark, Witcher-style fantasy realm, and explore once-familiar places now overrun with dangerous monsters.” CD Projekt Red explains on the game’s official website.
On the site we see several screenshots showing the universe and how the game works. an interactive map It will allow the player to find their way in their environment. To confront a creature, simply go to the location indicated on the map.
To defeat ghouls and other monsters you can use: Potionsyour silver sword or your magical powers. As your adventures progress, you will expand your hunting list. In some cases, you can: interact with other participants and collaborate on shared missions. We don’t yet have an exact release date for the game on the Play Store and Apple App Store.
