Shazam now recognizes songs on their own before they’re opened

Shazam has added a great new feature to their app. Thanks to the new automatic mode, it no longer needs to be open to recognize titles, it works in the background and recognizes directly without your intervention. You dreamed it, Shazam made it!

It’s happened to all of us millions of times, we hear a favorite song in a bar, at a party or in a supermarket but it’s time to take our smartphone and unlock it, open the app and start scanning, it’s already done. And now it’s too late Actually, ideally, Shazam is already turned on when the song starts. All it takes is for the app to run alone in the background and the developers finally figured it out, the time had come!

The latest Shazam update certainly offers an excellent auto mode, as it recognizes titles on its own before you even request the music recognition app.

We tested the functionality for you ourselves and can say that it works despite a few bugs that we hope will be fixed in the next update. In particular, it is seen that some titles are not recognized. Of the three we tried the experiment, the auto mode only recognized two. The third, however, came from the same album and is just as well-known as the other two.

Finally, it’s not magic, the quote needs to be long enough for the title to be recognized, and high enough volume so it may not always work if your smartphone is deep in a pocket or bag or if there is a lot of noise around.
