The Samsung Galaxy S9’s release date is only a month away and that means exciting news and rumors are popping up every day. Now that Samsung has confirmed the launch event on February 25, information and photos continue to leak. Here, we’ll go over the latest Galaxy S9 release rumors, specs, leaked photos, and everything else we’ve heard so far. That’s what you can expect from Samsung’s new phones in February.
Although the Galaxy Note 8 is still fairly new, potential buyers are already waiting for the next step. And with the March 11-16 release date reports, the wait is almost over. As you can see from the event invite above, the Galaxy S9 has a redesigned camera.
Samsung recently confirmed that the company will hold its first annual Samsung “Unpacked” event in Spain on February 25. At this stage, they will officially unveil the Galaxy S9 and the larger, dual-camera Galaxy S9+. So that’s what we expect at least.
From what we’ve heard, the Galaxy S9 will look very similar to the Galaxy S8 from 2017. It offers small but meaningful changes from start to finish. That said, the S9+ may have a few nice tricks up its sleeve. More information will begin to surface as the launch approaches. However, a lot of information is already floating around which we will detail below.

Is this Galaxy S9+?
Galaxy S9 Release Date Rumors
Currently, rumors suggest a release date between mid to early March, while others believe the next time is April sometime. If I had to guess, I’d say March 9 or 16 as Samsung phones always release on Fridays.
Actually, we hear reports and Samsung rumors Started production in May, almost five months earlier than previous years. If these rumors are true, along with the February 25 announcement, the first February 28 release date rumor could emerge. While this may be a little faster than usual, we’ll be careful. Either way, we expect an arrival on March 9-17, similar to previous years.

In 2017, the Galaxy S8 was announced in March and launched towards the end of April. Almost a month after the Galaxy S7 compared to the previous year. That said, the Galaxy S6 arrived ahead of Mobile World Congress in February, and we believe Samsung is returning to this previous release schedule.
Galaxy S9 and S9+ Display
As we said a few months ago, the new Galaxy S9 will feature the same 5.8- and 6.2-inch curved Quad-HD displays as last year’s Galaxy S8. Nothing will change on that front, but we do hear that the bezels are a bit smaller overall. For the most part though, the front will be a familiar affair.
These two phones will be released with Samsung’s latest display technology. It builds on the success and popularity of the bezel-less curved screen on the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy Note 8.
One thing we don’t know yet is whether Samsung can frame it even more to match the iPhone X’s styling. All the images we’ve seen so far suggest frames that are basically the same size or just slightly smaller. . Then, as expected, Samsung placed the fingerprint scanner under the camera sensor. This is for ease of access and an obvious choice considering in-screen sensor technology isn’t quite ready yet.

Here is one fan made render It shows what the S9 and S9+ might look like with the screen extending to the bottom, just like Apple’s latest phone. We believe Samsung will crop the bezel at the bottom a bit, but not as much as the fake photo below.
Galaxy S9 Features and Rumors
Each year, we see similar upgrades in key areas of the experience. As a result, we expect the same typical upgrades across the board this year. Combine that with the recently leaked information and we’ll have a pretty good idea of what to expect as the release date approaches. It gives us a better idea of what to expect as the release date approaches. Trusted leaker Benjamin Geskin is already reporting something similar on Twitter. official Galaxy S9 logo Images. Most of their information is pretty reliable. Benjamin’s sources suggest that the Galaxy S9 and S9+ will both have dual rear cameras, a better setup than the Galaxy Note 8.
Evan Blass, on the other hand, claims that only the larger Galaxy S9+ will get dual cameras along with 6GB of RAM. His report was further confirmed by @onleaks this week; renders show dual cameras only on the S9+, not the regular Galaxy S9. At this point, it’s almost certain that only the larger phone will have two cameras. We’re not sure how Samsung plans to use the variable aperture or secondary lens, though.

Basically, the Galaxy S9 and S9+ should offer more than the same. A stunning design, beautiful bezel-less displays, extremely capable cameras and the latest hardware and software under the hood. In addition, Qualcomm just announced A powerful new Snapdragon 845 processor that will power Samsung’s next phone. It confirms the chip’s release in early 2018, offering a 30% improvement in performance, realistic “all-day battery life” and notable improvements in photography, VR and AI.
Combine the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 changes with: Samsung’s own announcements We’re pretty confident that the Galaxy S9 will have the best smartphone camera on the market.
A few small leaks We also think we’ll see dual front-facing cameras and a larger battery inside both phones. An increase to 3,200 mAh and 3,700 mAh compared to the 3,000 and 3,500 mAh on the Galaxy S8 and S8+. Both are welcome changes.

With every upcoming phone, we’re seeing a wave of fan-made concept photos and videos. These often include the latest news and rumors or the creators’ vision of what the phone should look like. These first few images match the early rumors, but they’re all based on it. Stretching the bezels to the sides for a true edge-to-edge display, rotating the fingerprint scanner to the front, and adding a dual camera to the back of the Galaxy S9. Again, these are fan-made and by no means official.
At some point photos and information will leak directly from Samsung or its accessory partners, giving us a better idea of what’s going on. For now, these concepts are enough to get buyers excited about Samsung’s new phone. this, or see this newly leaked CAD render.
Galaxy S9 Price and Final Details
In closing, we wanted to talk about the potential price and a few minor details. So how much will these phones cost? Phones keep getting more expensive every year.
The Galaxy S8 costs under $800, but that price will climb if some of the above features go on sale. Earlier this year, the Galaxy Note 8 hit the shelves at $949, Samsung’s most expensive smartphone ever. We don’t expect a price that high, but we do expect something similar. Basically, because if the Note 8 and iPhone X can go for $1,000, sadly the Galaxy S9 can too.

Other details recent leaks I believe the Galaxy S9+ will make minor improvements over the Galaxy S9 by doing more than just a larger screen. Samsung is also planning some new accessories like a flat DeX Pad to replace the dock. The Dex Pad makes the Galaxy S9 flat and double as a keyboard, mouse and other useful features.
At the end of the day, wait for Samsung’s announcement on February 25, followed by a release date around March 11-16, give or take a few days. These will be two powerful phones with a lot to like and a high price to go with excitement.
