Google’s Android 5.1 Lollipop update isn’t limited to Nexus smartphones and tablets, and there’s a good chance it will reach Samsung’s stable Galaxy smartphones in the future as well. So far, these are the only updates that are rumored. This does not mean that these will be the only devices to receive Android 5.1 Lollipop. It just means that these are the three that Samsung currently has for testing. We’ll almost certainly see more rumors pop up as we move deeper into the year as Samsung begins wrapping up its testing.

Samsung Galaxy Android 5.1 Release Date MIA

The Samsung Galaxy Android 5.1 release date for the Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy Grand Prime and other devices is out of reach, at least for now.

It’s important to remember that like all Android updates, Samsung Android updates take time. The testing process is also extremely unpredictable, which means it may take days, weeks or even months before Samsung gets its first update. Even if it gets an Android 5.1 update. The thing is, while Android 5.1 for Galaxy phones will almost certainly bring fixes, anything Samsung releases is likely to come with its own problems, whether it’s Android 5.1 or Android 5.1.1 or something else. Keep this in mind before putting all your eggs in one basket.
