It may be tempting to install Google’s Nexus 5X Android O beta, but most of you should probably stick with Android Nougat.
The Android O update for the Nexus 5X, now confirmed to be Android 8.0, won’t arrive until the third quarter, but you can try it out ahead of time thanks to the pre-release software Google has released before the official release date.

There are many reasons to consider installing Android O preview on your Nexus 5X. It includes new emojis, improved battery life and performance potential, smart autofill, Picture-in-Picture mode, and some notable improvements to notifications.
That said, there are also some good reasons to avoid an early release of Android O, especially since we’re close to the final release.
Some of you may want to wait a few more days before installing Android 8.0 on your phone. Other Nexus 5X owners are probably better off waiting for the official release of the Nexus 5X Android O update to arrive.
