LG G4 Issues Fixed in New Update

LG’s new G4 smartphone is one of the best Android devices available in the market right now. It has a big and bright 5.5-inch 2k display, stunning genuine leather building materials, the latest Android 5.1 Lollipop and arguably the best camera on any smartphone. It does have a few issues, however, and it’s a big one that a touchscreen-related issue is reportedly fixed with an incoming update.

Now that the LG G4 is available worldwide and from all five major carriers in the United States, more and more reports of LG G4 problems are starting to surface. Touchscreen not recognizing touches or turning on when tapped to wake them up, LED notification flashing for no reason, and countless more.

The biggest issue is that the touchscreen doesn’t always recognize touches, which seems like a pretty big issue right now. However, only a select few are experiencing it, and it can most likely be fixed with software updates. We’ve learned that one of many has been released this week, and here’s everything you need to know.

Besides a few reports that the screen has some funny colors, bluetooth issues and some quality control issues, the biggest issue is with the touchscreen. The LG G4 has a beautiful 5.5-inch 2560 x 1440 Quad-HD display, one of the best on the market, but a some horror stories about not recognizing taps, swipes and general usage.

This causes problems for users trying to interact with apps, type with the LG keyboard, or even unlock or wake the phone with tap-to-wake and KnockCode. We have good news though, at least one update is on its way to fix some of these issues.

Shown above is a tweet from Buzz Jensen, head of mobile marketing at LG Mobile and T-Mobile. According to him, a software update is already available or coming soon for all versions and the T-Mobile model that aims to fix some of these touchscreen issues.

Users entering the app update center only see an update for the LG Keyboard; this update should fix a few unresponsive issues, but that’s not the only issue. Other than the keyboard, the G4 sometimes does not recognize touches. His response was somewhat vague and didn’t make it clear if an actual software update was coming or if he meant a keyboard update, so we’ll have to wait and see.

However, many users are reporting that the LG Keyboard update has fixed their issue, so those who are still experiencing this should at least give it a try.

However, a Message XDA Developers claims that there are more than a few issues going on and that a keyboard update isn’t the only thing that needs to be done. We may see an actual software update arrive later that fixes these issues, but for now this seems to be one of the only solutions.

The developers advise owners to enter the hidden developer options menu and enable the setting called “Force GPU Processing” that will fix touchscreen issues, and disabling the LG dual window feature can also speed up the smartphone for those experiencing lag. other slowdowns

At this time, we’re not sure if Jensen’s comments relate to a true over-the-air software update or a keyboard tweak. That said, go to settings > about phone > and check for updates to see if your LG G4 has the latest software. Having trouble with the LG G4 screen? So drop us a comment and if the latest LG software update or keyboard update solved your problems.
