iPhone 6s Plus and Moto X Pure Edition: 6 Key Differences

This week Apple unveiled the brand new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus for 2015, and they still have a lot to offer potential buyers, even if the design is nearly identical to last year. Now that we know all about Apple’s massively improved iPhone 6s Plus, buyers are probably considering all their options.

There are plenty of big-screen smartphones in 2015, and now that Apple has launched the second-generation 5.5-inch iPhone 6s Plus, buyers have to make a tough decision. The popular Moto X was announced back in July and is arriving later this month with a massive 5.7-inch display that’s a great alternative to Apple’s new 6s Plus.

Last September, Apple unveiled the massive iPhone 6 Plus, and its larger screen has made it one of the most popular iPhones ever. This year the same “phablet” is even better with the new iPhone 6s Plus, and below are a few key differences with Motorola’s 2015 stock Android-powered Moto X Pure Edition.

The iPhone has been battling big phones from LG and Samsung for years, but now there’s another one for users to consider. Instead of keeping the same small 5.2-inch screen as previous models, this year’s Moto X Pure Edition has a 5.7-inch Quad-HD display. The screen is huge but the device is really small due to the thin bezels around the screen. It’s also very powerful, highly customizable, and having a micro SD slot makes the storage a cheap add-on compared to the $100 premium Apple charges its customers.

As expected, Apple has stuck to the usual 2-year release cycle with the “s” this year, and the new iPhone 6s Plus looks just like the model before it. These identity, but inside is much better. Apple has strengthened the internal components, added a faster processor, and stepped into an improved 12 MP. iSight camera, new features added with iOS 9 and much more.
