Earlier this year the HTC One M9 was announced and launched with mediocre results and was not as exciting as the Galaxy S6, LG G4 and other phones. Then to round up last month, HTC announced a versatile phone in the HTC One A9. However, the company is not finished yet as there are new rumors. appeared A powerful new phone called the HTC One X9 is hanging out.
The M-series has always been known as the flagship or “high-end” when it comes to HTC smartphones, but that may change late this year or early 2016. At least if the latest leaks and rumors are true. HTC has a new phone that is said to be the X9 with a design that should solve most of the problems buyers have with the M9 and others.
The HTC One A9 was a mid-range smartphone with a high price tag, which looks good, but didn’t do much to get the sick company back on track. But the powerful and well-designed flagship HTC One X9, which we will talk about below, may be exactly what buyers have been waiting for.
According to some leaked details and the image shown below, HTC has another impressive phone next year that should compete with the Samsung Galaxy S7, LG G5, iPhone 7 and every other phone that will come out in 2016. It is full of impressive features and equipment. It offers dual front-facing speakers and a whole new look, much more than HTC’s usual, but with stunning features.
The next generation will reportedly be called the HTC One X9 or part of the X series, which will be HTC’s new flagship smartphones. The name change may be to distract this from the failed efforts of the M7, M8 and M9, but we’re not sure. Check out the photo below, then continue for more details on what’s inside and why this phone is worth the wait.
To say that the One X9 is “full of city smarts” doesn’t make much sense, and it might just be a well-made fake, but we’ll have to wait and see. That being said, this sounds like an impressive phone and here is the full spec sheet.
The leak states that this phone could potentially launch outside of the United States with a brand new octa-core MediaTek Helios X20 processor, the same 4GB of RAM, and even a 128GB option, similar to Google’s new Nexus 6P.
Looking at the image, we will have regular aluminum on the back with the rear camera placed similarly to the iPhone layout (image in the bottom corner). Next up is a plastic front with new and improved boomsound speakers. Moved aside to get rid of HTC’s notorious and unwanted huge bezel and black bar from previous versions, and more.
Then, under this leaked press photo, it is highlighted that the phone has a “silky smooth touch” with an improved design, with the “More per inch” feature mentioning more pixels on a small 5-inch screen and fewer bezels for the speakers. ‘shoot like a pro’, possibly with the new 23-megapixel Sony camera lens on the rear, and complete with ‘cinematic surround sound’ with these popular dual front-facing speakers.
According to the image shown here today, it doesn’t appear to have a fingerprint scanner like most phones these days, including the new HTC One A9, but that may change once this phone is announced and released. Again, this is a very early look at a leaked press image or a phone that may never come to the United States. However, it does feature a device that will arrive in 2016 like the Snapdragon 820, so an announcement and more details will likely not arrive until early next year.
