However, in this article, we will mainly discuss this new feature coming to the Google Play Store. Actually, The web giant will soon introduce “Play Report”. Behind this name hides Google’s new invention to highlight the latest trendy games and applications in its store.
Google uses Shorts to promote apps
Simply put, there will be a series of Shorts videos, which is the formula for YouTube’s short formats. According to Google, they will be led by a group of “experts,” primarily comprised of the firm’s employees, influencers, and content creators on YouTube.
Play Reports will appear as a carousel At the top of the page in the Google Play Store. The name of the featured app will be displayed below the thumbnail and each video will include a link to download the Google-promoted app.
The manufacturer also plans to publish various Play Reports on Google Play Store’s YouTube, Facebook and Instagram accounts. So it’s impossible to miss them. For now Google is currently testing this new feature only in the US. We don’t yet know if Google plans to democratize this and roll it out to other markets.
As a reminder, Google recently added a new functionality to Google Messages. In fact, the instant messaging app now has the ability to send voice messages from a connected watch.
