Google’s two new Pixel smartphones to be announced in October 4.. The leaks are coming at an alarming rate, and we have a pretty good idea of exactly what to expect. Everything from photos, press footage from @evleaks and now our first Pixel phone video render.
The first rumors started swirling earlier in the year, but we gradually learned that Google will launch Pixel phones instead of the Nexus. Now that Android 7.0 Nougat is here, Google’s next list is to release the Pixel and Pixel XL, Android 7.1 Nougat, Google Home, and more.
We took a look at the rumors in late June, thanks to information obtained by AndroidPolice, which was followed by an exclusive image made from reliable information they claim to be 2016 Nexus phones. Now that we’ve seen the actual photos and know these are Pixel devices, here’s a video that gives us our best looks ever. These phones are FCC cleared, certified for Verizon support, and more. It’s only a matter of time now.
This is the Google Pixel XL
We know almost everything right now. Google tapped HTC to create two phones, but will call them Pixel devices. Even their latest ad says “MadebyGoogle” so we know these phones are made differently this year. Google fully supports it by customizing the software instead of stock Android and more. He has big plans.
According to various reports, these two phones will look almost identical in design, share very similar high-end specs, but have different screen sizes. It’s basically the same approach as the iPhone or Galaxy S7, rather than the smaller model with impressive specs like last year. Not to mention two completely different phones.
Our link above has gone through everything we know so far, and below is the latest video that gives us our best look at the Pixel. Both of these premium all-metal phones will be top of the line. The smaller 5-inch Pixel will have a smaller screen and battery, and almost everything else will be the same.
in august AndroidPolice received more evidence about these devices. Posting an actual render of the smaller 5-inch Nexus smartphone. It shows off the whimsical iPhone-like design, flat camera, rear glass panel for enhanced signal performance, and fingerprint scanner. They also suggest that the final product will look much better than these images.
Since then, we have officially received press images By popular leaker @evleaks, known as Evan Blass from both phones. To take this one step further, @Onleaks has an actual video. official plans and Pixel XL’s schematics. This is Google’s new phone, but it might look a little different when it launches. Is it the dual stereo speakers we see at the bottom? That or dual speakers and one a woofer like the HTC 10. We’ll have to wait and see.
@Onleaks correctly revealed the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P using the same sources for the blueprint material, and offered similar leaks for other Samsung and HTC devices. Until Google officially takes the stage on October 4, we can say that this is the closest.
Besides that, we hear that these will have a Snapdragon 821 Quad-core processor with 4GB of RAM and will be very powerful. Add in an improved 12-megapixel camera, 8MP rear camera, image stabilization, 128GB storage options, and the same big battery as 2015’s Nexus 6P. Other features include an all-metal design, fingerprint scanner, custom version of Android 7.1 Nougat, maybe some neat Pixel LED notification lights, Google Assistant and other stuff. Google definitely has a few tricks.
According to another report, the images below come from highly reliable sources. His sources are also pretty sure that at some point these are Google’s new smartphones for 2016. Now that we see the same design over and over, it all starts to make sense. Here’s a huge collection of images and all four color options for Pixel phones. It was previously rumored to be HTC Nexus devices.
It has a pretty plain and stylish front that isn’t a big deal with an all-metal frame. There are thin antenna lines on the back bottom and a glass window on the back for NFC, Bluetooth, WiFi and other radios to send signals. All metal phones have poor reception so it looks like this and iPhones have antenna lines on the back. This overall design will be found in both the 5-inch and 5.5-inch models. According to @Onleaks report, the phone won’t be the same thickness from start to finish and the top will be thinner than the bottom. Interesting.
At this point we know pretty much everything and we’ve seen it all. It’s just a waiting game until Google reveals everything on October 4. If they follow previous release cycles, expect pre-orders within a week or two after announcement. A release date at the end of October followed.
