Second Year of Your Warranty

If you have purchased Preferred Care and want a refund, you may receive a full refund for up to 30 days of your preferred care purchase or a pro-rata refund at any time thereafter.
So basically the warranty remains the same. For two years any mechanical issues will be fixed free of charge with Google’s money. If you have an accidental damage, you must pay $99 or $129 to have it repaired.
How to Get Google Pixel 2 Warranty?

From what we’ve seen, the only way to buy a Prefered Care plan is to add it to your cart when you buy a Pixel 2 or Pixel 2 XL. We don’t see a way to add the phone after it’s already purchased, but we’ll Google it for clarification.
