Google Maps has an Incognito mode that lets you search for places or take specific journeys without leaving any traces of the past. The Google I/O 2019 conference was an opportunity for the firm to be very insistent on privacy – a topic especially for the firm, which has long focused on collecting a lot of data and using its business model for innovative services.

possibility of switch to incognito mode It looks like it’s going in this direction. Concisely, a new button appears to the right of the address bar. A logo identical to the Incognito feature in Chrome – the first app to take advantage of it, followed by YouTube. When you press it, a banner reminds you that Incognito mode is active.
Then, if you don’t want a place or journey to appear there, you can search for whatever you want with complete peace of mind, without having to mess with a date. However, for now, Google does not give a specific date for the release of this feature. Also, like other innovations, we don’t know if this will initially be exclusive to the Pixel 3 and 3a.
