Google Maps now makes it possible to know the exact location of all the charging stations for electric cars located nearby. To achieve this, nothing could be simpler, for example type “electric charging station” and voila. That’s not all, Google does more by providing some additional details. It is possible to know: the type of sockets available, charging speeds and other details provided by users.
Google Maps now shows where electric vehicle charging stations are
Many electric charging stations are listed: Tesla, Chargepoint, SemaConnect, EVgo, Blink. Some networks are only available in the United States, Australia, United Kingdom and New Zealand. However, as the screenshots we took above show, French users will be able to take full advantage of this new feature. For now, this innovation only concerns the Google Maps app on Android and iOS. PC users will have to wait a little longer before they can search the web version.
Happy owners of electric vehicles will be happy to be able to rely on a new source of information in any case. You should also consider how long it might take to charge an electric battery. Manufacturers like Tesla, which promises to charge in 15 minutes, are actively working to reduce this significantly. What do you think about this innovation introduced in Google Maps?
