Google introduces new features to travel cheaper

As Google likes to remind you, summer is fast approaching, and with it the holidays. In order to make your holiday easier, the American company has already announced the availability of many new features in its services and especially in its search engine.

At the end of March, Google confirmed to its search engine that information about heatwaves will be coming soon. However, this is not the only innovation that Mountain View is planning.

As a matter of fact, Google introduced several improvements on Monday, April 3, 2023, to better plan your travels. First of all, the contractor thought about those who are used to researching their future hotels from their smartphones.

Google wants to streamline your travel searches

Indeed, in the mobile version of Google Search, users will soon be able to take advantage of a new option: “stories” for each organization. For example, if you are looking for the famous Ritz of Paris, simply click on the hotel story to discover the photos, get more details about the services offered and read guest reviews about nearby places/tourist attractions/monuments/transportation.

Second innovation concerns Google Flights. This service already makes it possible to look up and compare current flight prices. Google goes one step further by launching pilot price guarantee programis valid in the United States only. The idea is simple: if a flight has a “Price Guaranteed” badge, it means that the price displayed will not decrease between now and the departure date. If the ticket is bought and the price drops, Google agrees to refund the difference by: Google Pay.

Finally, the last feature is designed to assist you. Better plan your trips or activities during your travels. By searching for an attraction, establishment or monument on Google Search or Google Maps, users will be able to: see prices directly on the card and book your tickets. In some cases, there will also be recommendations for experiences relevant to your search (guided tour, package grouping various activities, etc.).
