On November 11, 2020, Google announced several changes to its service usage policy. First, the firm announced the end of free and unlimited storage in its Google Photos service. As of June 1, 2021, “High-quality or express-quality content will be deducted from your Google Account storage”. Not surprisingly, Google recommends users opt for a Google One subscription.
Second, Google mentioned the Google Drive example. From now on, the search giant Right to delete data stored by accounts that have been inactive for more than 2 yearss. “If you are inactive on one or more Services for two years (24 months), Google may remove content from the Service(s) that you are inactive” warns Google in a blog post.
