Google Clock now includes a feature that should appeal to users. Google has added new support for Spotify. Thus, it becomes possible to use music and playlists from the streaming platform as alarms to wake up to the beat. Surprisingly, Google has so far not chosen to integrate Google Play Music or even the new YouTube Music service – this may seem logical, but let’s move on.
Google Clock can now wake you up with music and playlists from Spotify, here’s how
It is possible to use this feature whether you are a Spotify Premium subscriber or not. The Swedish platform even provided some playlists for your alarms. To be able to use this new feature, you need to install Google Clock version 5.3, which should normally only be available at the end of the week in the Play Store. However, it is already possible to download and install the Google Clock v5.3 update from the app store. As well as APK Mirror.
Setting Spotify music or a playlist as an alarm is incredibly simple:
- Open Google Clock
- Choose one of your alarms or create one
- Tap the alarm of your choice and then the bell icon
- Select Spotify Music and link your account
- Select the song or playlist you want
And there you go! The next time that alarm goes off, music will play! What do you think about this feature? Have you ever used third party apps to do the same? Share your opinion in the comments to this article!
