Google announces an update of the account management interface on Android on its blog. The goal is to help users see more clearly in order to better navigate the menus. “We’re announcing an improved Google Account experience. It includes new features, more security and privacy options, and detailed summaries of relevant information to make it easier to navigate your account.“, as product manager Jan Hannemann explains. Google knows all about us and this is a new way of doing it.

The search giant is adopting Material Design, with the Account, Search, Help, and Menu tabs at the bottom of the screen. Here’s a rundown of what’s included:
- Account: here you can access privacy settings, account security, activities and view the storage associated with your Google account.
- Search: Lets you find a specific setting in your Google Account, which is useful when you want to access a particular feature or can’t find it by navigating the menus.
- Support: You can take a look at some kind of FAQs, Google experts, and walkthroughs for help on how to operate the account. Finally, it is also possible to post comments to help the firm improve its dashboard.
- Menu: the latter gives you access to your personal information, data and personalization, security, contacts and sharing, and subscriptions and payments.
Privacy settings allow you to achieve precise management of information shared with various services of the galaxy of applications. Google, YouTube, Photos, Google+… It is also possible to manage advertisements and for example the personalization of advertisements can be simply disabled. The Google account dashboard offers to send you recurring reminders about these settings by checking a simple box.
This new Google account management interface is now available to everyone. iOS and web interface will be affected a little later in 2018 without further details.
