“Starting today, the new Gmail user interface is rolling out according to planned release schedules, with completion expected on February 3, 2023. It will become the standard Gmail experience, without the option to revert to the original interface”, Mountain View company writes.
The new Gmail interface becomes mandatory
As the American giant stated, It will no longer be possible to return to the old user interface. Actually, on the left side of the window, users will have direct access to Gmail, Chat, Spaces and Meet with one click. Other services such as Agenda, Keep, Tasks and even Contacts will be accessible in the right sidebar. Click the More button at the bottom of the column and you’ll be taken to the Google Workspace Market Place. Download extensions of your choice, such as Zoom, Trello, Dropbox, Slack, or DocuSign, to name a few.
Thanks to this new interface, users will receive all their notifications in the form of bubbles. Useful for quickly checking messages. As a reminder, Google recently improved voice input in Drive and now offers this feature in many browsers. To test this very practical tool, simply go to Google Drive and create a new Google Docs document. Then go to tools and then Voice input. Now dictate your text with your PC/Mac’s microphone or headset so it appears quickly on the screen.
