Gboard is undoubtedly one of them The best keyboards on Android. Google makes sure to update it regularly to always improve its experience. As proof, we want the next update, which is already available for certain users in beta, which completely changes the operation of the toolbar. For now this can be customized by clicking on the three dots on the right side and then dropping the desired tools into the bar.

So the first notable new feature of this update is the change in the design of this button, which consists of four squares with rounded edges and becomes a context menu moved to the left of the keyboard. When we click on it, we discover that Google has started by adding two options that were not there until now: un emoji button and a language buttoncan be placed on the toolbar for quick access.

Gboard will soon completely change the way the toolbar works

Another new feature that will appeal to personalization fans, Gboard now allows you to:add as many shortcuts as you want. So far it was possible to choose only four. Finally, Google will also allow the voice search button, which looks like a microphone, to be replaced with a completely different shortcut. For now, it is still not possible to touch the second one.

In other words, the Mountain View firm is clearly playing personalization card, this may only be useful for the already popular Android keyboard. We will also note the appearance of a new Privacy menu, which does not add any additional options compared to the current version, except that it is more easily accessible.

All these changes can be seen today at: version 12.6.06.491625702 You can get them from Gboard, but you may have to wait a few more days before testing them yourself.
