Is this the Samsung Galaxy S8? The first live photos of what is said to be the Samsung Galaxy S8 were leaked this week. We’ve been hearing rumors and seeing random leaks for months, but this looks like the real deal. Not to mention new information that quells past rumors.
The new Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus will feature significantly larger screens than previous models. In fact, both will be larger than the doomed Galaxy Note 7. This is thanks to the removal of the physical home button and navigation keys we’ve seen from Samsung for seven years.
While we already have a pretty good idea of what to expect, a Brand New report linked above VentureBeat fills all the blanks. Provided by the famous leaker Evan Blass, known as @evleaks from Twitter. Our own sources and if this leak is true, both phones will be introduced on March 29 and will be released in mid-April. That’s not all, read on for the latest important details.
Is this Galaxy S8?
For starters, both phones will be significantly larger than previous models. While they all manage to fit into roughly the same physical shell. Using Samsung’s new Infinity display technology Guard. Galaxy S8 Release Date
Earlier this week, our sources suggested a March 29 launch date for the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus. The same date is somewhat confirmed in this new leak. Samsung will hold its annual Unpacked Event in New York at the end of March.
This delay comes a month after the announcement of Mobile World Congress, which is expected in February to offer more stringent testing and security reviews to prevent another Galaxy Note 7 debacle.
