Galaxy S24 Ultra is one of the most anticipated smartphones right now. With the official launch fast approaching, we’ve learned pretty much everything we need to know about the new device in recent weeks; This is enough to give us a good idea of the different changes Samsung has prepared compared to the previous generation.
While the Galaxy S24 Ultra appears to have inherited a significant portion of the Galaxy S23 Ultra’s specs and design at first glance, new leaks have confirmed that there will be numerous improvements as a result.
A more durable titanium design
First of all, the biggest innovation of the Galaxy S24 Ultra is its titanium case, like Apple’s iPhone 15 Pro. We have already seen this new case in stolen photos of the device andThe titanium frame immediately stands out in the images with its brighter surface and smoother texture.
Unlike the weight-reduced iPhones, the S24 Ultra will be as heavy as its predecessor and therefore much more durable. Leaker Ice Universe also claims the S24 Ultra will have thicker power and volume keysand we could see that the bottom of the smartphone now adopted a long slot instead of holes for the speaker.
An even brighter and better protected screen
This year, Galaxy S24 Ultra abandons curved screen and switches to flat screen. This time the borders uniforms all over the screenbut the device will expand a little more later.
On this occasion, Samsung will invest in a brand new LTPO 120 Hz M13 OLED display, which is much more efficient than the previous generation. We will see the most change, especially in terms of brightness. Samsung promises a maximum brightness of 2600 nits, compared to “only” 1750 nits on the Galaxy S23 Ultra.
Leaker @AhmedQwaider888 also just announced: The screen will be protected by Corning’s brand new generation glass: Gorilla Glass Armor. We don’t know anything about this yet, but as always, it will allow the screen to withstand more severe shocks.
Homemade embedded artificial intelligence
Samsung introduced it a few weeks ago Galaxy AI, in-house artificial intelligence. This will be integrated into the next Galaxy S24 and will offer exclusive features such as real-time call translation to smartphones.
We should also find other features, such as the possibility to start a call by drawing a circle around any element on the screen, the recognition of up to 10 different voices to create a summary of a conversation, and even a personalized wallpaper creator.
A new One UI 6.1 leak also reveals features such as repositioning objects in scenes, enlarging a photo using artificial intelligence, and even moving objects from one image to another.
More power than base model
The Galaxy S24 Ultra will be the only model in the series to be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip in all regions, while the French Galaxy S24 and S24+ will have to make do with a less powerful Exynos 2400 chip. Qualcomm’s processor will be much more powerful as every year, but users can expect a big change, especially on the RAM side.
Leaker @Tech_Reve shared all the versions that will be marketed for the Galaxy S24 Ultra and now we know. The smartphone will come with 12 GB of RAM in its base version compared to 8 GB before. This is good news for all users.
Some minor changes on the photography side
Finally, we know that some changes await us on the photography side of the Galaxy S24 Ultra. We have a particular expectation Improved 200 MP HP2SX main sensorbut first of all a New 50 MP 5X periscope to replace the old 10X periscope.
With all these changes, the Galaxy S24 Ultra promises to offer a very different user experience from previous models. Although initial reports indicate that prices have been frozen in this generation, it is not yet known at what prices these new products will come.
