Last week, Samsung confirmed that the upcoming Galaxy Note 7 smartphone will be announced in New York on August 2, but they have yet to share a release date or price. The rumors have been going around for months, but now we have more details on the release date for both pre-orders and potential buyers.
In April, rumors started swirling about the upcoming Galaxy Note 6, which we know will be called the Galaxy Note 7 when it is unveiled on August 2. It will have a large curved screen, the latest and greatest technology, a micro SD slot, IP68 dust and water resistance, and even an Iris Eye scanner for added security. Sounds great, but when can we get one?
It was recently rumored that Samsung plans to announce, launch and launch the Galaxy Note 7 on August 2. As in, it will be released in the United States and worldwide on the same day. It was just a rumor, but now we have lots of different reports and some physical evidence to back it up. Read on for more details.
With the August 2 announcement fast approaching, we’re starting to see a lot of action surrounding the Galaxy Note 7. More photos of the actual device have leaked, press photos have surfaced, and now pre-order information. All this points to a much earlier release date than usual.
Back in 2015, the Note 5 was also announced in August, but launched two weeks later. It was one of the fastest release dates in Samsung history. If the new information is correct though, the Note 7 will be here even sooner.
Who did he talk to, according to sources close to the subject? SamMobileThe Galaxy Note 7 will not only be announced but will be released on August 2nd. Sources indicate that US carrier T-Mobile will begin accepting pre-orders next week, possibly on Tuesday, July 26, a week before the launch date. We saw something similar in March with the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, where T-Mobile was the first carrier to accept pre-orders, started shipping early, and customers received the phone before anyone else in the United States. Something similar could be lined up for the new Note 7.

The leaker actually said that T-Mobile will start accepting Galaxy Note 7 pre-orders “at some point next week” before the August 2 release date. However, July 26 makes the most sense, giving the carrier and its subscribers a full week to prepare for arrival.
However, a separate report states that the phone is available for pre-order in Dubai and those who order it now will receive it sooner than anyone else in the world. The sign in front of the shops in Dubai shows August 2 and once again shows that this is also the release date. It also details a free 128GB micro SD card for buyers. See the photo below.
At this point, it’s pretty clear that the new and improved Galaxy Note 7 is coming very early. After the announcement on August 2 at 11:00 EST, the phone may go on sale immediately at carrier and retail stores that already have units available for sale. None of these have been 100% verified, and we still take some of that with a grain of salt. At the same time, we have seen enough evidence to believe that August 2 will be that day.
If you’re still undecided on whether you want to buy the Galaxy Note 7, stay tuned for more details. We’ll be live in NYC for hands-on and full coverage of the launch event, not to mention potential buyers can look 12 leaked photos right here. If all these reports and rumors are true, the Galaxy Note 7 will be available in a little over a week.
