Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus Released

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and the massive curved Galaxy S6 Edge Plus are finally official and launching soon. We’ve been hearing rumors for months, and live in New York this morning, Samsung announced two new smartphones for fall 2015, one with a uniquely curved 5.7-inch display.

Today, just minutes ago, Samsung executives took the stage and finally announced and approved two brand new smartphones that we’ve been following for months. In previous years, the Samsung Galaxy Note series was always unveiled at IFA in Berlin in September and launched around October, but this year Samsung is trying to offer a much faster version to surpass the iPhone 6s.

Samsung has announced the impressive new Galaxy Note 5, the successor to the hugely successful and popular Note 4 over the past years. But the excitement is on the second device with curved edges on both sides of the screen. Read on for all the details announced on the livestream.

Galaxy Note 5 and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus are two high-powered Android smartphones with the best features in the mobile industry and a stunning design to match. As expected, the new Galaxy Note 5 looks very similar to the Galaxy S6 that was released earlier this year. This means that Samsung is abandoning the cheap plastic design it has used for years in favor of an entirely new premium design made of aluminum and glass.

However, the new premium design that many consumers have been begging to have for years also includes some compromises. The new Samsung Galaxy Note 5 (and Edge Plus) lacks a micro SD slot or a removable and replaceable battery. In all previous Samsung smartphones, two key features that set them apart from the competition for years.
