Chrome 70 supports fingerprint sensor on Android and Mac, explore the list of new features

Google is announcing the new features that will be introduced in Chrome 70 on its blog. The ultra-popular web browser will qualify for many additional features on Windows, Mac and of course Android. Among the most important innovations, we note the support of the fingerprint sensor on Android and MacBook Pro Touch ID. A way to effectively authenticate without a password.

It’s not over yet, another big innovation has been announced. Bluetooth web support for Windows. Secondly, it allows you to communicate neither more nor less with compatible equipment located near the PC. • Shape detection API: can automatically detect a face, barcode and even text
• WebAuthn: Fingerprint sensor support for Chrome Mac and Android
• Fullscreen: mode is automatically suspended when dialogs are displayed
• Web Bluetooth: Chrome on Windows can now communicate with compatible nearby objects

All these improvements are immediately available with the Chrome beta. However, it probably won’t be long before you have a stable version. This is expected in the coming weeks. We have already been able to explore the new features introduced in Chrome 69 recently, especially with its new design.
