Chrome on Android: dark mode soon available in Google search results

For several months now, Chrome on Android has been equipped with an elegant dark mode. If you enable dark mode, all web pages you visit are now darkened. The browser adapts the interface of the visited sites according to the theme chosen by the users. Unfortunately, this dark theme does not adapt to Google search results. These are always presented in white in the app, which is a pity for internet users.

Google about to improve Chrome’s dark mode on Android

According to our colleagues from 9to5Google, Google developers are preparing to fix this minor flaw. Indeed added a line of code chrome source codeFree software that serves as the foundation for Chrome (and many other browsers like Microsoft Edge).

“If enabled, users will see a dimmed search results page if Chrome is also in night mode” Shows the Chromium code. Concretely, all results submitted by the Google search engine will therefore adapt to the dark mode. As with any other website, the browser force interface to change viewlike the night mode of Samsung Browser on Android which turns the white background of web pages to black.

For now, we do not know when Google will integrate this innovation into the final version of Chrome. We expect this option to be rolled out first in the Canary and beta versions of the browser in the coming months. We will tell you more as soon as possible.
