Google will now notify you while surfing the web if the page you are trying to load is too heavy and consumes a lot of data. A notification will appear on that page to notify you. To identify these heavy pages, Google will first ask each user to set a maximum threshold for the weight of a web page.

By default, Chrome only displays the page in question. exceeds 5 MB. You can select “Low” to save even more data: in this case, Chrome will warn you as soon as a page exceeds 1 MB.

If a page exceeds the maximum amount you set, a notification, stop manual download. Therefore, without your agreement or participation, Chrome will not allow it to prevent a page from loading completely. For Google Chrome to work, the website must support the pause option. Not all websites are affected.

XDA Developers says this feature, which is already available in Google Chrome Canary (Windows, Mac, Linux, ChromeOS and Android), is still in early development. It is unknown when it will be available to all Google Chrome users. If you’re using Google Chrome Canary and want to test this new feature, just type. chrome://flags/#enable-heavy-page-capping In the URL bar and enable the option.
