Chrome 77 beta: improved dark mode, new “theme creator”, what’s new
An experimental dark mode has been available in Chrome since version 73, but its presentation remains largely excellent, especially on Android where the management of color inversions leaves much to be desired. Chrome 77 improves default rendering on smartphones. Editing and image-level inversion of colors are better managed. As a reminder, dark mode on Android forces web pages to show a still unsightly black look.
Since Chrome 76, developers have had the ability to offer their own dark modes and automatically display it when the user activates this system-wide mode. But many sites don’t offer a choice yet, and it will take time for the vast majority to develop a dark version of their design. Meanwhile, Chrome continues to display an automated version that, while not perfect, continues to evolve.
Chrome 77: You can better customize the default theme
This is one of the most important new features that Chrome 77 brings. change default theme according to the user’s convenience. Indeed, as described on the 9to5Google site, the “Color and theme” option allows you to choose from 20 predefined themes or launch a customization tool with the ability to precisely select the desired colors. Enabling this option passes Flags in Chrome 77:

This new feature comes with a new, more dynamic home screen when Chrome 77 is installed. On Android, the browser also provides an API that allows web apps to access directory contacts with user authorization if this permission is required for some features.
