There are many free apps that offer savings as you shop, including cashback offers. You review and purchase eligible products, scan the receipt and barcode through the application installed on the smartphone, and receive your refund via PayPal or credit card. And yes, it’s easier than you think. Here’s our pick of the best apps of its kind.
shopmium
We start with the best known cashback app, Shopmium. Simple to learn and very complete, it is probably the best option in France today. Discounts, cashback offers (sometimes up to 100%), type 2 specials = 1 free, you can find everything and a wide variety of products. The “catalogue” is updated more regularly. You can enter your credit card or PayPal account for payment. No need to print, just scan receipts and barcodes through the app.
Coupon Network
Another interesting alternative is Coupon Network. The app offers discount coupons for food items that need to be printed, as well as refunds received by credit card or PayPal after proof of purchase is presented. A big plus for Monoprix, Intermarché and Supermarché Match customers: With loyalty cards from these brands, the process is simplified, the refund is automatic and there is no longer any need to scan receipts and barcodes.
Quota
Quoty doesn’t have the highest number of offers, but it makes up for it with a few pretty cool features. For example, you can access promotional catalogs, save your loyalty cards in case you forget them, and create shopping lists. Sometimes it’s even possible to get free samples. For reimbursement, we deal with the same system as the competition.
FidMe
We find many of the features offered in other apps: registration of loyalty cards, cashback offers, discount coupons… FidMe is particularly effective if you are constantly buying the same brand through certain loyalty programs. You accumulate points and when you reach a certain threshold you can spend them to get a full refund for a brand product. Simply scan the app’s receipts to understand which products qualify for points.
Here you have probably the best solutions to get your products refunded and shop cheaper. Some apps like Plyce or Prixing are no longer maintained and should therefore be forgotten. However, if you know of other services of this type that are as effective as the ones we’ve described, feel free to let us know in the comments, we’ll be eager to try them out.
