Android M Beta Details for Nexus 5, Nexus 6, and Nexus 9

This morning, Google officially announced that Android M will be available later today as an early beta for developers to try before its release in Q3 of this year. Android M Developer Preview available now For Nexus 5, Nexus 6, Nexus 9 and Nexus Player.

Just like last year with Android 5.0 Lollipop called Android L, today at Google IO, Google has confirmed that the next version of Android will be available for certain users to try soon.

Developers will be able to access Android M via standard Android developer portalthe average user will have to wait until the end of this year to get Android M. Read on for more details.

The next version of Android is officially called Android M for now, and a beta version is available as we speak. We’re not sure what Android M will mean, but most people are thinking of aliases that follow the typical sweet themes of Milky Way, Marshmallow, or Google.

For now we don’t have many details on how much Android M or Android 5.1 Lollipop will change its current state, but Google has announced tons of changes to the whole experience. We’ll be sure to update Android M as soon as we get our hands on it, with hands-on instructions, how to install it, and much more.

Today at Google IO, the company detailed six major changes to Android that will be released with Android M today and later this year. Some of these are app permissions and are more user friendly and controlled by each individual permission within the app. Google Wallet and NFC will be called Android Pay, and Android Pay will get a lot of attention with Apple Pay, which has native fingerprint sensor support for better security on devices like the USB-C, improved battery powered Galaxy S6 and others. life and much more.

As you can see above and from what Google has shown on stage so far, Android M won’t be a big change to the look and feel of Android, but will instead focus on improving the experience, making performance smoother, delivering better battery life. and add more features. Then they hopefully fixed most of the major bugs that still persist in Android 5.1 Lollipop. Most likely all major brands will update to Android M when it arrives later this year.
