Cyanogen Gallery
Designed by the editors of the famous Custom ROM of the same name, Cyanogen Gallery is comparable to what manufacturers’ tiers have to offer. THEM folders are created automatically it is based on photo and video metadata and the organization happens by itself.
The relatively advanced app supports Chromecast which allows you to cast your photos and videos on your TV which is really nice and also online services like Flickr, Google, Dropbox or Facebook. The app also includes a highly advanced editing tool.

While not perfect, MyRoll Gallery stands out as a simple and effective solution for managing photos on mobile. Folders are created automatically based on image metadata (date, time, and location) and storage options. sharing on social networks (Facebook, Google+, …) and instant messaging are there to make your life easier.
Chosen as the “best photo app” in the recent SXSW Appy Award organized by major American media, the app was highly acclaimed for its responsiveness and feature density.
Customizable 3D gallery
Very easy to use, Customizable 3D Gallery is one of the top rated photo management apps in the Play Store. It offers similar functionality to the core implementation of Google OS, all in a simple and sophisticated design. Unfortunately, the app has not only qualities, but also two flaws: it is not available in French and does not offer drag-and-drop functionality. Finally, updates are pretty rare as the last one dates back to 2013. Still, it remains a very popular and widely used tool.
