If you’re using an Android smartphone, you probably know that the Play Store currently has a three-tab bottom bar that disappears when you exit main streams like Games, Apps, and Books and any of their respective top tabs. . But with this new test Google is exploring the idea of keeping the navigation element visible when you open a list of apps.
The persistent bottom app bar only appears when no active tab is selected, and tapping on a section will take you directly there. A simple scroll back will take you back to the list.
We don’t know exactly why Google is trying to make such a change to its app, but the American giant probably wants to make its app easier to navigate. However, not all users will like this change because It introduces a distraction to certain pages, especially when you update them.
Interestingly, this isn’t the first time Google has explored a similar feature in its apps. Last year, Gmail adopted a similar behavior by keeping the bottom bar visible even when scrolling through emails. This measure aimed to improve the user experience and enable easy access to different parts of the messaging application without having to return to the main inbox each time.
