Android 14 will soon allow you to convert your SIM card to eSIM

The feature called “Convert to eSIM” was first seen in Android 14 Developer 1, but did not reach the stable version of Android 14. However, it has only just been published. Android 14 QPR 2 reappears in the latest version of Beta 3Which Google recently rolled out to its Pixels.

eSIMs for those who don’t know Embedded SIM cards that do not require a physical card to activate a mobile service. They have certain advantages over physical SIM cards, such as saving space, the ability to have dual SIM cards, and the ability to change carriers more easily.

The Pixel 8 series already has a feature that allows users to port eSIMs from older Pixels, but this feature is currently limited to T-Mobile and Deutsche Telekom in Europe. Therefore, this “Convert to eSIM” feature is likely to expand eSIM support to more carriers and regions.
