Fortunately, Android 14 will finally introduce a solution that gives users the option to disable this visual feedback.
How to make your PIN more secure in Android 14?
If you are a fan of the PIN code, we recommend that you activate this newly appeared option in Android 14 as soon as the update is available on your smartphone or, failing that, if you already have the beta version of the operating system. on your Google Pixel. Here’s how to do this:
- open them Settings
- Go to section Security and Privacy
- Press Lock screen
- Tap the gear next to it Screen lock
- Enable option Improved PIN security (French name to be confirmed)
When this option is enabled, an animation will no longer appear on the screen when you type your PIN code. The lack of feedback may be annoying at first, but you’ll gain a great deal of discretion when publicly unlocking your smartphone.
