The app also has the option to include cloud storage from Box, Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox and Yandex to transfer files between your phone and cloud storage. FX File Manager is a solid app with a privacy policy and an ad-free experience. 4. SD Maid
SD Maid is essentially a cleaner app to avoid running out of storage space. However, it is by no means like other typical cleaner apps. It doesn’t offer remarkable features like one-tap boost and doesn’t advertise itself as a battery optimizer like most. Instead, it focuses more on file removal aspects. For example, CorpseFinder function helps you find and delete leftover files from previously uninstalled apps.
Finding large files in SD Maid is a fairly simple affair with the Storage analyzer option. Here you will get a list of the folders taking up space, sorted by size. However, you’ll have to do the legwork of finding large files in SD Maid, as the app doesn’t provide smart suggestions like its counterpart above. The app is free to download and use, while the pro version is available for $3.85 to unlock some extra features.
5. Mi File Manager
Xiaomi has also created a file manager and made it available for all Android phones. In terms of design, the app has a clean look and an easy-to-use interface. This app isn’t all about the UI, but it’s not at all. To find large files, you can go to the cleaner tab, where you will also find the option to clean old app data and junk files.
You also get the option to compress and decompress ZIP/RAR archives to free up more storage space. To transfer files quickly, Mi Explorer uses the FTP function of Mi Drop app. If you’re looking for a clean yet feature-rich file explorer, the app is a solid alternative to Files or Astro.
