10 Samsung Galaxy S6 Oreo Release Date Tips

The Samsung Galaxy S6 Android Oreo update is still unconfirmed, but here are some tips to help Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge and Galaxy S6 Active users reach a possible release date.

Galaxy S8 Android 8.0 Oreo update is out of beta and rolling out to devices in Europe, Asia and other parts of the world. It is currently in carrier testing before launching soon in the United States.

Samsung’s Android 8.0 Oreo update offers a wide variety of features including Home Screen and Quick Panel improvements, Samsung Keyboard upgrades, New Edge features, custom colored folders and much more.

The company still hasn’t released a list of devices getting the Android 8.0 Oreo update, but leaks, updates and rumors allow us to piece together the company’s plans.

Newer devices like the Galaxy Note 8 and Galaxy S7 lock to get Oreo, but older devices like the Galaxy S6 still look outward.

Galaxy S6 Android 8.0 Oreo Release Date

There are rumors of the Samsung Galaxy S6 Android Oreo update, confirmed if you believe T-Mobile, but nothing is official until Samsung makes an announcement.

While we may see Samsung break from its standard protocol (usually offering major updates for two years), there’s no guarantee that the Galaxy S6 will make the official switch from Nougat to Oreo.

However, there is an outside chance for the company to hold onto the Galaxy S6 models until Samsung pours water over the flames.

If Samsung decides to release a Galaxy S6 Oreo update, we expect it to arrive much later than the Galaxy S8, Galaxy Note 8 and Galaxy S7 updates. In other words, don’t expect it to arrive in February.

While we wait for the official announcement, we want to share some tips to help Galaxy S6 users prepare for the official or unofficial version of Oreo.
