And while it hasn’t revealed what it will announce at tomorrow’s event, it’s clear to us (and others) that the Galaxy Note 5 will be the star of the show.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will be the company’s fifth-generation Galaxy Note and will be the successor to the Galaxy Note 4. And like the Galaxy Note 4, it is expected to come with some high-performance features that Samsung hopes will make it appealing to those around. Searching for a new smartphone. Don’t expect Samsung to take a step back during the Galaxy Note 5 launch event tomorrow. With smartphone sales plummeting and the company trying to make its purpose clear ahead of Apple’s iPhone 6s launch, we expect Samsung to lay it all out for consumers in the United States and around the world.

Wait for the company to review everything:

In the past, Samsung’s launch events have been somewhat short-lived. There is a missing detail and an exaggerated confusion. We expect tomorrow’s Unpacked event to be fit for purpose. That’s why if you’re remotely interested in buying this phone, you’d be smart to set it up in the morning.

Galaxy Note 5 Pre-Ordered Soon

We expect Samsung Galaxy Note 5 pre-orders to start in the near future, perhaps tomorrow or Friday. With the Galaxy Note 5 release date expected to be just around the corner, we expect Samsung and its carrier/retail partners to give people a chance to order early.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 release date is close, at least for those in the United States. We don’t have a specific date yet, but rumors and leaks have helped keep us focused in a pretty specific window.

If Samsung is trying to get ahead of the iPhone, it makes sense for the company to get the core product ahead of the iPhone. All signs point to a quick Galaxy Note 5 release date this year.

We’ve seen it go through the FCC and other certification bodies. We’ve seen Galaxy Note 5 release date rumors point to an August release date. We’ve seen reports pointing to a focus on the North American market (presumably that’s why the Galaxy Note 5 launched in New York). And we’ve seen new evidence pointing to a quick Galaxy Note 5 release. at least on Sprint.

We’d be surprised if we were out of August without a Galaxy Note 5 release date in the US and other key regions like Japan and China.

We already know that the Galaxy Note 5 will be available on AT&T, Sprint and Verizon. All three models have passed and are approved by the FCC.

We have yet to see the Galaxy Note 5 come out for T-Mobile or US Cellular, with two top US carriers and two carriers carrying every Galaxy Note 5 model since the Galaxy Note 2.

We’d be shocked, shocked if UnCarrier didn’t deliver the Galaxy Note 5. T-Mobile is currently the third largest carrier in the US and a possible destination for the Galaxy Note 5. US Cellular, the fifth largest carrier, has passed the Galaxy Note 5.

We didn’t expect any carriers beyond that though. Smaller, prepaid and regional carriers have shown no willingness to carry the Galaxy Note over the years, and there’s no reason to believe anything will change this year.

We expect US carriers to drop a ton of details for us tomorrow.

Galaxy Note 5 Deals

Galaxy Note 4 Price Discounts

Carriers and retailers will not be able to charge full price for a Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy Note 4 on sale. Therefore, wait for the Galaxy Note 4 price to drop.

We’ve already seen some deals pop up, but we expect a new round of price cuts when the Galaxy Note 5 goes on sale. If you’ve already decided to buy the Galaxy Note 5, you probably don’t care. But if tomorrow’s launch doesn’t sell you on the new model, you’ll feel grateful. The Galaxy Note 4 is still a great phone with a lot to offer.

Expensive Galaxy Note 5 Price

Be prepared to pay for this phone. Samsung is already reducing the price of the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge to lead the arrival of the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+. Both devices are premium phones and both will have premium price points.

We’d expect a contract price point of $299.99 for the Galaxy Note 5, and we’d be surprised if carriers sell the base 32GB model for less than $650 without a contract. With its big screen, flashy hardware and included S Pen stylus, the Galaxy Note is never cheap.

New design

We’ve seen tons of Samsung Galaxy Note 5 photos pop up before its launch, and it’s clear that Samsung’s new Galaxy Note comes with a similar design language to the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge.

These photos are probably not fake. Galaxy Note 5 likely with glass/metal design, tapered back, no microSD card slot, non-removable battery, fingerprint sensor and thin but not as thin as the iPhone 6 Plus.

Software features

One thing we haven’t heard much about is the Galaxy Note 5’s software. We’ve heard it might come with some tweaks in Air Command and Android 5.1.1 Lollipop but that’s it.

Our best guess at this point is that the software will come with Android 5.1.1 (not Android M), some changes to the S Pen software, and a TouchWiz version similar to the Galaxy S6s. Samsung has really reduced the bloat with the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge UI, and it’s a welcome change.

We would expect at least some of these features to be exclusive to the Galaxy Note 5, at least for now as it tries to sell consumers an expensive Galaxy Note 5 instead of the cheaper Galaxy Note 4.

And finally, expect the Galaxy Note 5 to arrive with the specs that the rumors have repeatedly revealed over the past few weeks. Samsung did a really terrible job keeping this phone hidden but maybe, just maybe, it was by design.

We would expect the cameras to be on par with the Galaxy S6’s (which is a good thing) and the device to have solid battery life. We understand the reservations about the 3,000 mAh size, but We trust Samsung knows what it’s doing.
