Google’s latest Android 10 software update available on several devices and more are coming every day. Once you get it, you’ll want to know everything this version 10 of Android has to offer. Note that some of these are exclusive to the Google Pixel phone family, as Google has saved some of the best stuff for its own devices. Everything else on our list will come to popular phones from Samsung, OnePlus, Huawei, Nokia and more.

While there are many innovations in Android 10, these are some of the biggest or most important changes. No, they are not all very exciting or exciting, but they will make a huge difference every day when it comes to usability, privacy, control and entertainment from your mobile device. 1. Smart Replies
Android is getting smarter in responding to any communication, notification or message. Smart Reply isn’t entirely new, but now they’re suggesting actions and it’s better than ever. Finally, stock Android has a system-wide dark theme to help save battery life and strain our eyes. Also, Google has worked hard to add dark themes or “night mode” to almost every popular app they offer. 4. Live Subtitles
Unfortunately, this next feature isn’t quite ready for anyone and everyone to enjoy it, but it looks great. Live Captions are one of the coolest features of Android 10 and it was supposed to be on this list. With a single tap, Live Caption instantly automatically captions ANY video, podcasts, or even audio messages, regardless of where it’s coming from. With no need for wifi or cell phone data at all. It’s almost like magic. If you don’t have headphones but are on a busy train journey, turn this on and get subtitles for all videos.
Initially this was only an option on the latest Google Pixel 4, but towards the end of 2019 Google added it to older Pixel devices and we feel it will roll out to more devices throughout 2020.
5. Focus Mode
A new feature in Android 10 is Focus Mode, an extension of Google’s digital health tools. With Focus mode, you can do more without getting distracted. Select the apps you want to temporarily pause and you’re done. You know which apps distract you the most, so disable them very quickly so you don’t get hit personally or by their notifications.
Disable focus mode after work and then you can go back to Twitter, tweet or DMs on Gram. This can be used on new and old devices as long as they get the Android 10 update.
6. Family Connection
Not all screen time is bad, but parents these days are so worried about their kids being on their phones or tablets all the time that all they can think about is screen time. Family link gives parents more control over everything, but also suggests good screen time. Use these tools to set digital rules such as daily phone usage limits, device sleep time, or time limit on certain apps. This last one is important. 8. Easier and Faster Security Updates
