During the month of August, many interesting games were released on the Play Store in all sorts of different categories: racing, shooting, role-playing… Here is our selection of the best games released last month.
Titan Fall Attack
No one will be surprised to see that such a popular name on mobile devices, the licenses of our consoles and computers are now transferred to our app stores very often. TitanFall has not been a huge success, the FPS here becomes a management game that mixes elements of tower defense with those of a card game. Does it remind you of anything? This is pretty normal as we can see the Clash Royale inspiration here. Still, the game is very interesting and graphically very pleasant. Sometimes what could be better than big mechas?
Egglia: The Legend of the Redcap
Especially successful in its atmosphere and artistic direction, Egglia will remind you of the Mana series for what it offers best. But its gameplay takes inspiration from game board RPGs like the brightest Japanese tactical RPGs and diverges from it. All in all, Egglia is above all a great adventure to live and a very neat game that justifies its high price. If playing on mobile doesn’t mean just playing small free games, you should take a look at this thread.
Adventure Time Run
Adventure Time, let’s grab your friends, we’re going to far away lands! If you read this sentence in rhythm, you already know that this game is for you. Cartoon Network has turned the cult series… into a 3D runner, of course. This of course doesn’t reinvent the formula that has already been proven on smartphones, but it still gives us the opportunity to travel through the series’ many worlds while catching up with its humor. In the end, what could be better?
Battle Team
Combat Squad is another multiplayer FPS on mobile. But it’s not unrelated either: The Unreal Engine 4-based game is pretty good graphically for its platform, and puts you in control of a team of 5 to push a strategic direction in combat. In 1v1 you’ll have to switch between characters to surprise your opponent, or it’s most fun to team up with your friends and play 5v5 matches.
FRAMED 2
The first FRAME was one of the best designed mobile games of its time, and its sequel was far from disappointing. This puzzle game has a very simple but particularly successful concept: To help a thief escape, you have to rearrange the panels of a comic to change the story. Once complete, the page comes to life and tells the story as you intended. The game is amazing, the atmosphere is unique in the world, and it’s a must-do title: you’ve been warned!
Whatever Hadjane says happens!
Behind this unexpected title is an action RPG that puts you in the shoes of Hadjane, the queen of the underworld whose subjects have rebelled. What can be done to restore a certain order? Beat everyone, of course. The title, in its form, evokes some of Atlus’ good productions, especially a humor that the Disgaea series won’t deny. Well-designed and offering a good challenge, it’s worth paying attention to for anyone who likes Japanese-inspired universes.

One of the game genres that best adapts to the mobile platform is the rhythm game. However, most titles are based on a rather electro soundtrack that may not be to everyone’s taste. With Pianista you will instead have access to many classical music titles against the backdrop of magnificent famous paintings. In short, it’s the music game’s outstanding cousin, but it’ll still know how to challenge you… more than enjoyable listening.
