The launch of the iPhone 15 is notoriously free of major bugs, which is no mean feat for a device of this caliber. Despite everything, this does not mean that the smartphone is free of technical problems. Since its launch, many users have encountered issues with Bluetooth connectivity. Even though several months have passed, no solution has been found yet.
One of these on the MacRumors forums sums it up very well: “Since iOS 17, I regularly lose connection to my car during Bluetooth calls. I make a hands-free call in my car and after a few seconds the Bluetooth connection drops and I have to manually switch to my iPhone speaker. […] “I do not have this problem in my car with my iPhone 12”, indicates.
iPhone 15’s Bluetooth has major problems and there is nothing to do
While most of the references relate to Bluetooth devices outside the Apple ecosystem, some users are also experiencing issues with their Airpods. The observation is systematically the same: the iPhone 15 manages to connect normally, but after a few minutes it loses pairing for no apparent reason.
The bad news is that there doesn’t seem to be a workable solution right now. Apple had already stated that iOS 17 would fix this bug, but now that the update is available, it’s clear that’s not the case. Some users even claim that they had to replace their iPhone to finally get rid of the problem. Neither booting nor factory resetting was enough to fix the error.
So we hope that this is not a hardware issue and that Apple will finally fix the issue with a future update.
